Life Walker is an experimental, minimalist game inspired by John Conway’s Game of Life.

The playfield is a constantly evolving cellular automaton.
Living cells are born and die according to their own rules — independent of you.

You control a single, fragile figure in this world.
You do not fight, you do not build, you do not change the environment.
You simply exist — and try not to step into life.

The game can be played on a randomly generated Game of Life field,
or you can create your own world using the built-in level editor.
All custom levels strictly follow Conway’s original rules.

Planet Conway Edition

The Planet Conway edition reimagines the original playfield as a circular world made of concentric rings instead of a flat grid.
Each ring follows slightly different life-rules, creating warm, hot, and cold ecological bands where cellular behavior varies across the planet.
While still rooted in Conway’s original principles, this layered structure introduces a subtle planetary logic — turning the Game of Life into a living, rotating landscape to traverse rather than a uniform field to avoid.
